How Bail Works
1

Arrest & Booking

When someone is arrested, they are taken to a local jail for booking. This process involves fingerprints, photos, and a background check. Bail is set by a judge based on the charge type, criminal history, and flight risk.

This can happen within hours
2

Call a Bail Bondsman

You contact us at any hour. We gather basic information: the full name of your loved one, the jail they're held in, and the charge. We look up the bail amount and walk you through your options clearly and without pressure.

We answer every call, every time
3

We File the Bond

You pay the bond premium (typically 10% of the total bail amount). We handle all the paperwork and post the full bail bond with the jail. As a licensed surety agent, we guarantee the defendant will appear at all court dates.

Payment plans available
4

Your Loved One is Released

Once the bond is posted, jail staff processes the release. This typically takes 2–6 hours depending on how busy the facility is. We stay in contact with you throughout so you know exactly what's happening.

Out in hours, not days
5

Attending Court Dates

The defendant must attend all scheduled court appearances. Missing a court date results in the bond being revoked and a warrant being issued. We remind clients of upcoming dates and are here to answer questions.

We guide you through the process
6

Case Resolved

When the case concludes — whether dismissed, plea deal, or verdict — the bond is exonerated. The defendant is no longer under the bond obligation. We remain available to answer any questions along the way.

Confidential & professional throughout

    Frequently Asked Questions
In Florida, the bail bond premium is set by state law at 10% of the total bail amount. This fee is non-refundable — it is the cost of the service. For example, if bail is set at $10,000, you pay $1,000 to us. We post the full $10,000 with the jail. If you cannot pay the full premium upfront, payment plans are available.
Once we receive your payment and paperwork, we post the bond immediately. The jail then processes the release on their end. In Volusia County, most releases happen within 2–6 hours. On busy weekends or holidays, it can take slightly longer. We cannot speed up the jail's internal processing, but we post the bond as fast as possible on our end.
Missing a court date is very serious. When a defendant fails to appear in court, a bench warrant is issued and the bail bond may be forfeited. This means whoever signed for the bond (co-signer/indemnitor) becomes responsible for the full bail amount. We strongly advise keeping a calendar of all court dates and contacting the attorney immediately if a date needs to be changed.
Yes. We understand that bail situations are often unexpected and financially stressful. We offer flexible payment plans that allow you to pay the bond premium in installments. Down payment requirements vary based on the bail amount and your situation. Call us and we'll work out an arrangement that makes sense for your family.
Yes. We are licensed to write bonds across all of Florida. While we are based in Volusia County and handle all local jails — Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, DeLand, and more — we can arrange bonds for jails throughout the state. For federal charges, we work with federal bail bond specialists to ensure your loved one gets help quickly.
A co-signer (also called an indemnitor) is someone who signs the bail bond agreement alongside us, agreeing to be responsible if the defendant does not appear in court. Co-signers are typically required when the defendant does not have strong ties to the area or when the bail amount is large. We'll let you know during your call whether a co-signer is necessary.
Absolutely. All calls, cases, and personal information are handled with strict confidentiality. We do not share your information with third parties. Our business depends on trust and we take that seriously. You can speak openly with us about your situation.
For larger bail amounts, collateral may be required to secure the bond. Common forms of collateral include real estate (a home with sufficient equity), vehicles (fully owned), jewelry, or other valuables. The collateral is returned once the case is resolved and the bond is exonerated. We'll discuss collateral requirements based on your specific situation during your call.
